prev ::: next For anyone who is familiar with the Boston T, the new DNC version with amazing signage, scrubbed clean of all grit and grime and stocked with happy friendly volunteers who aren't behind bulletproof glass and are ready to answer your every question, was an odd animal indeed. I had thought that the T was dirty and confusing due to a failure of imagination, or perhaps bad planning. Now that I know that someone, somewhere, knows how to make it clean and useful, I am extra resentful that it's not more like this all of the time. I know that it's sort of like cleaning your house when your parents are coming to town, but I'd love to see the T even try to keep some of these signs up, or learn a thing or two from making system maps available and cleaning the floors more often than never. |
