The big metal gates had been draped with some sort of tarps so you couldn't even see what was going on outside, and people outside couldn't see in. My largest concern about all this security theater is that the conclusion may be, once people have packed up and gone home, is that it worked. Nothing blew up, no one was killed, relatively few people were arrested, the subway wasn't bombed.
