Getting home was a long arduous journey, but I made it in time to scan Kerry's speech before he gave it and heat up some macaroni and cheese before it was on. Here in Somerville we have network TV and dial-up Internet. The argument can be made that this is more reflective of the "real world" than the weird made-for-TV private party spectacle that is the DNC. I put on my PJ's, rehydrated myself, and took some notes on Kerry's speech.

- having an Attorney General who would uphold the Constitution, that would be a start. It's a commentary on our sad state of affairs that you'd have to include this as a talking point and not, say, a foregone conclusion.
- I didn't realize that so many of Kerry's platoon in ViewNam were from swing states
- that whole "you can fit a library on a chip" thing is fairly overrated, its too bad that was all he had to say about libraries.
- I am, however, a big fan of truth and it will be good to see more of it, in the administration and everywhere.
