I had to see this set-up twice before I understood what it was -- it was a standalone fire extinguisher type thing suspended from the ceiling over what appeared to be a metal seat coming out from the wall. The metal seat turned out to be a book drop [minus the cart for the books to drop into it's really difficult to identify] and the fire extinguisher is actually a sprinkler system for the [non-present] books in the bookdrop cart.
