The parade led off with the military and all their guns and pomp. And, of course, their wool suits. Poor folks, it was about 100 degrees out. I realized later that the reasoning for putting them first was so they could put the Bread & Puppet folk and the other peaceniks at the end, separating them by as many supermarket floats as possible. There were many people like this guy who were festive, but not necessarily saying 'rah rah USA' My favorite sign said Celebrate INTERdependence Day
