The Lodge we stayed at advertised that it has "full kitchen facilities" that guests could use. However, this translated into an odd assortment of toaster ovens, ancient microwaves, and electric kettles since the industrial gas range and oven was marked with many hazard and danger signs and required -- according to our innkeeper -- a special permit from the health department to operate. Here is Kate persevering and getting ready to make the cake in a little broiler oven, one layer at a time.
Yes that little needlepoint thing above her head says "Let Us Pray" there was a lot of stuff around. Our room, which slept three, came with three bibles. There was a lace version of the 23rd Psalm in the dining room.
