The kitchen area also doubled as an antique store of sorts, the kind where everything is pretty expensive and not all that fancy and you get the idea that the proprietor really doesn't want to sell you anything. We had a hard time figuring out what was common kitchen stuff and what was merchandise. The lodge itself was nice, cozy, inexpensive and pretty agreeable overall. We were even a little suprised that we got along with the other guests and their kids and dogs pretty well. That is unless they started to debate politics over the breakfast table, in which case I tuned out and focused on my Apple Jacks. Lake Seymour was just across the road and there were a few water vehicles available. We got into kayaks on my birthday despite the windy cloudy weather and mucked around in one of the inlets. prev ::: next |
