There is an Artist in Residence program at the transfer station [aka the dump] in SFO. I had read about it on MetaFilter and wanted to check it out. Pete and I headed out there and were lucky enough to catch the artist himself, who gave us a tour of the place and showed us some of the stuff he was working on. This thing is a wire frame around a backpack harness which will have big oarlocks with boxing gloves on sticks. It will be some sort of wearable punching machine.
